I bought this mouse to use with a Mac Book Pro. It replaces a Kensington Slimblade which just didn't work quite right after falling about four feet to the kitchen floor. While the Kensington was OK, I never did get used to feel of it (it is a very flat mouse) and I found the on/off and mode controls just too difficult to use. I like this mouse much better. It was very easy to make the initial Bluetooth connection to my computer. Since it is a somewhat small mouse I was not sure of the feel at first, but after the first day it felt great in my hand. I found that after not having been used for awhile it reconnects to the computer very quickly (almost instantaneously), far faster than the Kensington it replaced. My only caveat would be that, due to the small size, it may not be comfortable for everyone.

Customer Review: Do not get this if you are using Vista
Hey I just bought this keyboard and mouse combo. The box, CD and manual says Windows 98 and later. It installed OK, and it went to the web to get the latest version of the software/drivers. Upon restart however nothing worked from the Kensington keyboard or mouse or the inbuilt keyboard and trackpad on my laptop - alarm bells ringing at this point. Nothing when I hooked up my trusty old USB keyboard and mouse despite several hard-restarts. No response on Kensington's tech support "Please call back etc etc" Their website makes no mention of this item/combo - so I couldn't even download a separate installer for it. I had to F8 & boot up from a previous restore point. As a result it gets no votes - wouldn't work! Vista users you have been warned. I have used tons of legacy gear through my work which only comes or has available Win98 drivers and they have all worked thus far - this wireless desktop being the exception.
Customer Review: Great until the new wore off . . .
The fancy keys and wireless capability were nice for a while; I've had it for about a year. Once the newness of the new toy wore off, I discovered that the mouse eats batteries fast. It died today of consumption. The mouse has really been a pain in the neck the whole year and it's rather large. The keyboard is still working and the keys are quiet; however, it's just too big and it tells me literally once a day that the batteries in it are low though it's a good bit easier on them than the mouse. Some driver issue with Mac OS X but it doesn't bother the way it works. So, after a year, it wasn't really enough bang for the buck overall. A 3 for the keyboard, it's okay but big and huge with the attached wrist rest which has to be there to make it comfortable to type on. Without it, the keyboard is too tall to be so flat. A 1 for the mouse; a battery eating pain that was a constant problem. So a not so great 2 over all.

: Mouse-to-cradle connection flaw

Except for the recharging issue, I have no complaint with this mouse. If you just set the mouse down in the cradle, the recharging light blinks a couple times and then stops. The mouse doesn't sit exactly right in order for the two electrical plates in the mouse body to line up correctly with the electrical prongs in the cradle. In order to get it to fully recharge, I have to hold it steady until the recharging light flashes consistently, then I have to wedge a paper clip between the cradle and the mouse to make sure the mouse doesn't slip down and break the connection.

This product does what it says - Basic keyboard, mouse, and video controls. The green laser pointer is pretty lame. It projects only for a few hours before the battery runs low. I find myself constantly changing out the AAA batteries if I want the laser to show up. If however you do not use the laser, then the battery power last a reasonable amount of time. The battery cover constantly comes off and I have to tape it closed for easy use. Therefore, if all you need is the remote control options this device does the job quite well! I use it everyday, six hours a day. Don't get it for the laser pointer feature unless you own stock in a battery company.

Love this little presentation mouse. It works pretty well for presentations (I actually prefer SMK-LINK remotes when I don't need mouse functionality), but is great when you need a mouse. I only gave it four stars since the mouse is not as snappy as I would like. For the price, it is a good value.

The mouse looks great, the price is right, but the form factor is not great for big hands.

Here is what I like:

Color, Design, and the fact that the wireless transceiver hides inside the mouse and turns it off when you replace it after use. The build quality is solid and it works on both pc's and mac's instantly...without installing any software. The transceiver is small and thus stays out of your way....

Here is what I dis-like:

The mouse being FLAT makes it hard to get a easy comfortable grip...especially if you have big hands and u are used to curved (microsoft type) mice.

Overall I think this deserves 4 stars and a try!!! You may fall in love with it.

Everything, including batteries and drivers (for windows) come in the box. I have not needed the drivers.... The batteries are high quality energizer triple AAA's.

Customer Review: Do not get this if you are using Vista

Hey I just bought this keyboard and mouse combo. The box, CD and manual says Windows 98 and later. It installed OK, and it went to the web to get the latest version of the software/drivers. Upon restart however nothing worked from the Kensington keyboard or mouse or the inbuilt keyboard and trackpad on my laptop - alarm bells ringing at this point.
Nothing when I hooked up my trusty old USB keyboard and mouse despite several hard-restarts.
No response on Kensington's tech support "Please call back etc etc"
Their website makes no mention of this item/combo - so I couldn't even download a separate installer for it.

I had to F8 & boot up from a previous restore point.
As a result it gets no votes - wouldn't work! Vista users you have been warned. I have used tons of legacy gear through my work which only comes or has available Win98 drivers and they have all worked thus far - this wireless desktop being the exception.

Overall, this is a great mouse. I love that it switches to a PowerPoint slide changer. It's also nice and slim with a likewise small USB dongle. The only problem is that the mouse wheel, as many have complained, is difficult to turn and slippery sometimes. The movement of the cursor is also a bit odd and not so smooth. But, overall, it's a good mouse.

I teach high school chemistry and biology. This pointer allows me to be anywhere in the room while I control the computer and still have a hand held pointer. Although it does take some practice to get good with the mouse it works well, and allows me to launch videos, work with power points and to get a blank screen if I need it. I have been using this for two years and really like it. One other nice feature is that I can move among my students and use the pointer to highlight anything in the room, including lab equipment as I go. Therefore I can see what students are doing while I am presenting.

Yes, you can hold it in the air. huzzah. Consider: your table mouse moves the cursor as your hand moves the mouse across the table. This "air" mouse does not move the cursor with the movement of your hand whilst airborn. like a composer whose wand doesn't do anything. You need to use the scroll ball with a finger to move the cursor. Kind of like turning an old mouse upside down and pushing its ball around. This should be in a different mice category. I could have flipped my old mouse over and used a slip of paper or something. It would require the same amount of movement and does not achieve cursor movement by hand gesture. If you're that inept at mice use an assistant for your presentation. No need to make redundant technology.

This little gizmo is PERFECT!!!

I go to collage and got this for my teacher for Christmas. She steered away from giving Power Point presentations because it was just too much of a hassle without one. When she opened it, she almost started dancing, and still giggles when she uses it. It is just perfect!!! Small enough for almost any pocket, but does all you need and more. The range is great too. Stunning features contrasts with very poor materials quality

As many reviewers have said, this mouse is almost perfect. First, it's cordless so you get the freedom to use in a ample range, which comes very useful for people who makes presentations or lectures, because you can use it to switch slides with the dedicated buttons and use the laser to point the screen, or if you are listening music from your PC, you can switch songs or change volume. In addition, it's incredibly easy to connect to every PC or Mac that comes with Bluetooth, and the mouse have a lot of buttons, that can be assigned to a lot of tasks making you work faster.

The big drawback is the poor quality. I'm very obsessive caring my stuff, but I have this mouse from a year ago, and the exterior painting is very deteriorated, making look the mouse absolutely hideous. The wheel have a rubber that is unusable now, because it worn out and eventually broken in no more than nine months . I really want to point that those damages came from an absolutely normal usage, I haven't dropped, put in an unsafe container, exposed to light, etc. in any way. Microsoft didn't gave me a proper response to this problems because in their opinion those are only 'cosmetic' and do not interfere with the normal use of the mouse. Of course, this is true, but believe me that is very disappointing to show an absolutely ugly piece of hardware when you're presenting and want to leave a good image of you to your audience, this comes very relevant because people usually are very curious about the mouse when you use it to control a keynote.

In short, please think twice buying this mouse, because hardware and features are incredible but the outside will degrade very fast. I believe that people that do not preoccupy a lot of the look or design of products, will be the only who can stand this problems.

Customer Review: Good, but with some disappointments
This is my first review on Amazon, so I hope you'll cut me some slack... :-) Anyway, I'm a casual gameplayer (I like World of Warcraft), so I wanted a mouse that would be reliable, responsive, comfortable, and affordable. Basically everything anyone would want in a mouse, but even more so for gaming. By the way, if you search Amazon for "logitech g7" you'll get multiple listings for this exact same item so, not knowing what else to do, I'm going to post this review on every listing. Wouldn't you do the same? I dunno... So, first of all, I read lots of reviews to try and decide what would give me the best equipment for the money. This is a pretty expensive mouse, but I made it more affordable by buying a refurbished item online. That might have been a mistake, or it might not -- I'll never know. Anyway, keep that in mind here. Maybe "factory new" units will be less likely to display the problems I noted below. So, here's the long and the short of it: Pros: - Nice heft and ergonomics. - Laser seems to work well on all surfaces (except glass desktops -- forget it). - Good software for customizing and adapting to particular games (i.e. you can customize the effect of clicking the thumb button, scrolling the wheel, tilting the wheel, etc.) - Battery level is indicated via LED's on the mouse itself. Also, when low charge is critical, the software will pop up a window to tell you so. (However this window will not always intrude into the game you're playing, so beware.) - Double lithium-ion batteries ensure that you're never up the creek without a mouse. While you're using one battery, you're recharging the other. Cons: - Scroll wheel has an annoying ratcheting sound & feel when spun. - Left/right tilt function of scroll wheel failed before very long. Now when I push the wheel to the right, it just sticks there, instead of snapping back to center. Neither here nor there: The mouse provides a pair of buttons, "+" and "-", right behind the scroll wheel, for increasing or decreasing the sensitivity. For me, once I've got the sensitivity I want (which I can do through the Windows Control Panel), I really don't ever need to change it, so those two buttons are a waste for me. Although I guess I can reprogram them to do something more interesting. Ah well; to each his/her own. And a note about the batteries: The double battery system works fine for me, and it will work fine for you, as long as you realize that recharging a battery via a USB port (which is your only option) is a very long process. Basically, you'll want to keep the charger attached to your PC all the time, so that when your active battery runs out, you can swap 'em. By the way, of the two batteries I received in my refurb, one seems to take a lot longer to fully charge. In fact, by the time I've discharged the one battery through use, the weaker battery will only have just reached full charge in the charger. Not a real problem, but I figured you should be aware. Bottom line: Good mouse if you're not a major gamer and can get a good discount price for it.

Had this keyboard for a month before the joystick/mouse gave out. Took it apart and it consists of a thin plastic ring that easily snaps off after use. I've pulled it apart 3 times and repaired it with some glue but I keep having issues with it. Go with a touchpad or track ball keyboard instead.
Customer Review: Works great with Vista!
I have been using this for my HTPC for about 2 weeks now and am very impressed with it. It's plug and play with Vista, all of the remote functions work with Media Center, and the range seems great! It has a low joystick style mouse built it which feels like a cross between an actual joystick and an eraserhead style mouse. It's very easy to use and it's made of a very sticky rubber with a slight depression in the top for your thumb, which is also a nice feature. And to top it all off, it actually looks pretty slick too. The only issue I have experienced so far is that the mouse occasionally drags a little bit if the computer is working on something, but it doesn't happen often enough or cause enough of problem to lower it from 5 stars in my opinion.

Have had this combo about 2 months, and already the keys are sticking down. Have to pry them up. At other times, key strikes don't register at all. The touch is good for most of the keys, and then others have to be hit quite hard. Save your money, and get a different product. Giving this a very poor rating.

LOVE the mouse. The keyboard takes some getting used to as the keys are flat and it is difficult to keep your fingers "home". I've noticed an increase in errors since I started using this keyboard. I'll keep trying it for a while to see if I adjust. Otherwise, I'll go back to traditional keyboard.

I went out on a limb and bought this after two other logitech wireless desktops started malfunctioning after a few months use, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to change companies. I'm doing my best not to rewrite what JK has already written here... The range is more than anyone should need in an average household. I can operate my computer connected to my living room TV from across the house on the dining room table, about 30-40 feet away with no problems. Using rechargeable AA batteries I get 20+ hours of use, I prefer AA over the built-in rechargeable batteries in ANY device. The devices work without installing any software in Windows XP/Vista, and the manual is just perfect, read it once and you will never have connection problems. They also work in Ubuntu Linux 8.04 without additional software, however my mouse scroll button wouldn't work in linux. The USB dongle will allow you to connect any bluetooth device i.e. your phone or the BT headset from your phone.
Customer Review: Good option for the PS3 keyboard
This bluetooth (wireless) keyboard / mouse combo is sold retail by Best Buy. You can get refurbished ones on eBay and through Amazon merchants. I purchased a refurbished one, and was happily surprised to find it in brand-new condition and in the original packaging. The package includes a bluetooth keyboard which uses two "AA" batteries, a mouse which uses two "AA" batteries, a bluetooth USB dongle, a manual, a CD containing the driver software for Windows, and four "AA" batteries. The keyboard is full-sized (actually a smidge larger than my desktop computer's keyboard), has a very solid feel, and is a bit heavier than I expected. It has the usual keyboard setup with a separate numerical pad, arrow keys grouped by themselves, Help/Del/Home/End/PgUp/PgDn in a group, 15 function keys across the top, and the Esc key in the upper left corner. It has a "Windows" key to the left of the spacebar. It also has 10 programmable keys running along the left and right sides of the keyboard, plus a full-width wrist rest. On the underside (which is bright red), it has the usual two legs along the top edge and a "connect" button (used to initiate syncing with the bluetooth-USB dongle or directly with the computer if it supports bluetooth). There is no visual indication if the caps lock or num lock keys are on. There is a single LED in the upper-right corner of the keyboard that flashes red when the batteries are low, or red/green when it is attempting to do a bluetooth pairing. The mouse is a little bigger and heavier than a typical desktop mouse. On the top, it has the usual left, right and middle/scrollwheel buttons. The scrollwheel can be tilted left/right, plus there are additional buttons on the mouse's crown with "play" , "next", "prev", and "stop" icons on them. There is a bluetooth "connect" button recessed on the bottom of the mouse. The USB-bluetooth dongle is provided to allow computers without built-in bluetooth capability to connect (pair) with the keyboard and mouse. It has a small "connect" button on the end, and a blue LED that flashes to indicate activity and flashes rapidly to indicate the dongle searching for the keyboard and mouse. I was able to pair both the keyboard and mouse with a Mac Mini both with and without the dongle. In addition, I was able to pair both the keyboard and mouse with a PS3 both with and without the dongle. In all cases, the pairing was easy, and I did not need to install any driver software on the Mac or PS3. To pair with the dongle, simply plug the dongle into the computer's USB port, turn on the computer so the dongle is getting power, press the "connect" buttons on the dongle, mouse, and keyboard, and wait a few seconds. The LEDs on the keyboard and mouse will flash red/green, and the LED on the dongle will flash rapidly, then all three will stop flashing. After this, the keyboard and mouse should "just work". To pair with a computer (or PS3) directly without the dongle is more involved, and generally involves telling the computer to search for bluetooth devices, then pair with the keyboard (this will probably involve typing a code on the keyboard that the computer provides) and the mouse (which should happen without any additional actions by you). The range of the keyboard and mouse appear to be at least 10 feet (the distance from my PS3 to where I sit). They both work well and without any glitches or surprises so far. I haven't owned them long enough to comment on battery life. Overall, this package is an excellent deal for the price I paid.

Customer Review: Orange Stains After A Short Time...
I hadn't seen this mentioned in the other reviews, but I had a problem with the orange one getting dirty on the sides. I've used it less than 2 weeks and where you hold it on the sides has darkened enough to be unsightly. The orange I paid more more no longer looks spiffy, but worn, grungy and dirty. The orange material is rubbery and there seems to be no way to clean it off. I hate to see what it would look like with 6 months of use. The company was nice enough to send me a replacement black cover, but be aware if you prefer the orange, it might not look pretty for long. I have to say I absolutely love this mouse otherwise though. Don't know what took me so long to go wireless, but it performs beautifully, and powers down when not in use to save the batteries and sensor. I'm using it on a desktop MAC G5.

I was looking for a mouse to use in conjunction with my laptop. I found the laptop push and scroll device on the laptop to be difficult to use and unresponsive. I went to a computer store to look at the different styles of mice to see which one felt the most comfortable in my hand. I found several that I liked, but the Kensington stood out amongst them all. I really like this model because of the rubber griping on the sides and its smooth performance. Another advantage is that is laser guided which is an upgrade from the optical mice. The Kensington that I looked at was not available for sale as a standalone product so I ordered it on-line through Amazon. I am still learning how to use all of its many features, but so far, I have no complaints. I really like this product, and would highly recommend it to anyone who is considering purchasing a high performance mouse such as the Kensington.

I have had this mouse (red version) since October 2007. I have become so dependent on the forward and back buttons that I feel lost when I use our other computer's standard mouse. It is very ergonomic and easy to hold. I really haven't had any problems with the scroll. The battery life is excellent. I would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't broke on me a month ago. It said the battery was low and didn't respond (something it does when it needs new batteries). So I put new batteries in it and it flashed the low battery light again and won't work. I've tried another set of batteries and even tested them. Unfortunately it appears he's died. It may very well be my fault since I have dropped this mouse on the floor many times. I have been using another brand since and I hate it. So, I'm looking to get this one again or another one with the forward/back buttons on the side.

Quite frankly I am very mad at my self for buying this POS. Here is the reason why. I feel that I was deceived by its design. It looks nice design-wise. I thought it would look nice together with my new HP laptop....However, as you can see from the photo, this mouse has scroll button...but this scroll button does not work! Not only that. It also does something very strange on the scroll bar. It keeps scrolling up and does not allow to scroll down. It didn't work with my HP lap top so I tried it on my Dell lap top. Same problem. It sat in my office desk for a while and today I decided to give it a try. It seem to have caused my lap top to go into death freeze. How could a company release such poor product? Do they not test their product? Seriously, I would only recomend this product to people who want to waste their money...and yes, I am very bitter about the purchase. Apparently I have to rate it between 1 to 5 star. I really don't want to give any star for it so I'll tell you all verbally that my rating is negative 1 star.

Customer Review: Eliminated my carpal tunnel
After using a regular mouse for awhile my hand always goes numb. This has been going on for about 10 years. I'm a computer programmer and am on my computer 8 hours a day or more. I purchased this mouse and my hand hasn't gone numb since I bought it. I think if you would start out using this then you could avoid any symptoms of carpal tunnel. It takes a little getting used to as your hand is in a different position. Once you get used to it you can even play games normally. I played Mass Effect all the way through with it and everything worked fine. I do have to criticize the wireless aspect. It becomes unreliable when it is more than about one foot away from the mouse.

I wish it worked. As the others said, I loved the fit & lusted the price. I have bought other RocketFish stuff and it has all been great! Better then the brand name industry stuff. That said, this mouse software is big junk! I have a deep knowledge of computers & even rewrote some code to try to get it to work. It won't! The back feature just won't go back... no matter how I set the buttons it won't go back. I also get a weird ghost action that out of no where will activate every option in the mouse menu. ex... it will by itself go forward, back, left, right, hypergrid, word, etc.... not fun... possessed by devil! Setup was fast & easy, and the product feels great and looks cool. I like Rocket fish and support their efforts but the software on this mouse makes it a cool paper weight. May I suggest a Logitech mouse from 1-2 years ago. Great buttons & ergonomics for larger hands and hours of design/writing/gaming. The dpi button was unusable at any decent speed setting.

I bought this mouse about one year ago, and I used to love it, even if it needs new batteries every 2-3 months, but now it's starting to die, the left click button and the signal are failing, sometimes I can't click anything at all, I've replaced the batteries 3 times and it's still malfunctioning, I had high hopes for this mouse :(, so buy it if you don't expect to keep it for longer than 1 year PS: do not buy it if you're planning to use it for a laptop, this thing is huge (it fits my average size male hands perfectly), not portable at all, and the signal receiver is also huge, it looks like another mouse, I didn't know where to put it since its so huge and ugly looking. This mouse is too slippery. I grab the mouse with fingertips not my whole palm and it is very slippery to grasp. Whats with the big receiver? I have 2 other mice at home with a receiver no bigger than a thumb drive. The receiver is almost as big as the mouse! The scroll wheel is silent, which is a nice touch, smooth too. Its for the office, so.... *UPDATE- now that the mouse has some use to it, it's gotten a bit more dirty and smudged so its not as slippery. 4 STARS.

I bought a Z-Pen in high hopes. It worked ok for about 3 sessions and then just stopped working. I have written twice to Dane-Elec Corporation asking them to either send me new pen or return my money. They have not even had the courtesy to reply. Don't buy this product.

Customer Review: Great until the new wore off . . .
The fancy keys and wireless capability were nice for a while; I've had it for about a year. Once the newness of the new toy wore off, I discovered that the mouse eats batteries fast. It died today of consumption. The mouse has really been a pain in the neck the whole year and it's rather large. The keyboard is still working and the keys are quiet; however, it's just too big and it tells me literally once a day that the batteries in it are low though it's a good bit easier on them than the mouse. Some driver issue with Mac OS X but it doesn't bother the way it works. So, after a year, it wasn't really enough bang for the buck overall. A 3 for the keyboard, it's okay but big and huge with the attached wrist rest which has to be there to make it comfortable to type on. Without it, the keyboard is too tall to be so flat. A 1 for the mouse; a battery eating pain that was a constant problem. So a not so great 2 over all.
Customer Review: Wish I would have gone to Kensington
I got this wireless keyboard for a Gateway laptop through Gateway while tyring to problem-solve a compatibility issue. The first one was defective so I exchanged it for another - and that one was defective, too! Both times it was the mouse. I tried to get Gateway to take it back and refund my money because it turned out not to help the compatibility issue and they refused. The keyboard, even though it worked, could not keep up to my typing, forcing me to slow down, go back, start over. Frustrating all around. Please, if you're stuck with this unit, try what someone further down suggested, go right to Kensington. This is NOT a good product, but if you save your receipt, the box guarantees it for five years. I lost that option by thinking only Gateway could refund my money.

Customer Review: Not disappointed, not especially pleased either.
First off, I've only been using this keyboard for a few hours, so I don't yet feel qualified to rank it high or low at this point. My only intent is to offer some data points that may help others decide which wireless keyboard to buy. I was specifically trying to avoid IR units due to their line-of-sight requirements. I bought this keyboard to use in my den, where I have a computer attached to a flat-panel TV. My chair is 14 feet away from the *rear* of the computer (where the receiver dongle attaches to the USB port). I turn the computer off when it isn't in use, and I don't intend to use any of the keyboard's multi-media keys. (All I want is WEB access and email). Note that his keyboard is smaller than the keyboard on a lap-top. (I was merely surprised and wouldn't have ordered it if I had realized). It runs off of two AA batteries, (compartment on the bottom) and it comes with both rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries. (As the instructions warn: Don't ever try to recharge no-rechargeable batteries, it could result in "EXPLOSURE"). The cable needed to recharge the keyboard attaches to the USB dongle and to the rear of the keyboard. It is 3 1/2 feet long. I had trouble getting the cable to plug into the dongle; a manufacturing quality control issue. I succeeded, but I don't intend to use the rechargeable batteries/cable. (Do the USB ports even have power when the computer is powered off?) I cannot comment on battery life. It claims to have a range of up to 10 meters. (1 meter is 3.2 feet). At 14 feet, transmission is unreliable and it looses key-strokes and mouse (trackball) events. It does better at 12 feet; still not satisfactory for a touch typist. At 8 feet, I'm very happy with transmission reliability! (An extension cable for the dongle might be useful - to bring the dongle around to the front of the computer thus closing the distance a little). It takes a awhile to get used to using the trackball (which is smaller than a marble), but its operation is amazingly smooth (assuming you're within reliable transmission range) but feels a little light-weight. In usage, I have to slide my hands up on the keyboard when using the mouse; right thumb on trackball, left thumb on the buttons. I move my hands back down to use the keyboard. That gets old very quickly if you're switching between text and trackball. So, I'll use it when necessary, but I recommend reviewing the key-board short-cuts for the GUI you're using. (i.e., so that you can get around without using a mouse). Made in China, it has instructions in English, German, Spanish, French, and Italian. For now, I intend to keep it and use it, but I don't think I'd actually recommend it, at least not for this particular application. To be honest, I'm not sure what I want, but I'm beginning to think it isn't track-ball based.

I just purchased this product and so I can't speak to its longevity. However, I can say that this was exactly what I was looking for in a keyboard. I do a lot of typing, and I love laptop keyboards for this sort of thing. The low pressure required to get a keypress, the small amount of depression required, etc. If you're not looking for a keyboard that feels like a laptop, you won't be happy. If you're looking for something you can take around with you and don't mind that feel, this is quite portable. The receiver handily stores in the mouse so that you don't have to go searching for it when you toss it in your bag. Speaking of the mouse however, I'm not a fan. It has a very small scroll wheel, and is not what you'd call ergonomically shaped, due to the either-handedness of the design. For the price though, the keyboard is good enough. One very legitimate complaint is the inclusion of an apple key and a windows key. The order is apple, ctrl, windows, alt on the left side, and the apple key works as a windows key on Vista, at least. This is a killer, but you can get around it with a program like SharpKeys, which uses a registry hack to remap it (mine is set to ctrl, so I find the control key by feeling far left, and alt by far right). As long as this lasts two+ years, I'll be happy.

I wanted to love this keyboard. Small footprint was great for a crowded desk, and I loved the style. It ended up being nothing but problems. The keyboard would frequently cut out, or one press of a key would result in 5-10 of the letters appearing on the screen. First I put foam on the battery door to keep the connections and that seemed to work for a while but eventually the problems kept coming back and out to the trash it went. I'm back to using USB keyboards and mice, but I think I'll try Logitech- I have had great success with their wireless mice on my laptops. As I said, it's too bad- the design of this keyboard is great.

I really like this mouse. I would love this mouse if it had software to support it and a few extra features. It is pretty basic. It is also very portable (I sometimes carry it in my pocket). The receiver "docks" in the underside of the mouse keeping it safe and compact. I take this mouse with me when I go to class and use it rather than the college's mice which I do not like. Just plug the receiver into the USB port and the mouse is ready to go. It just feels good to use this mouse. My hands don't get tired. Users do have to get used to the "sleep" feature - after a period of non activity the mouse stops responding until the user clicks one of the buttons. After a few days of using it the sleep feature became a non issue. I would definetly recommend this mouse.

I've been using my Obsidian mouse for a few weeks and I've really grown to love it. I've had other mice and it always seems it needs recharging or new batteries at just the wrong time. With this one, I swap out the fully charged battery in 5 seconds and I'm back at it. I never worry about whether the mouse was put into a cradle each night. I also like the new scrolling method over the old wheel type. I can tap it and do more tricks than I could with oter mice. Besides that. its just plain cool looking.

I bought this mouse in a store... and when installed it initally worked fine. Then slowly it stopped working and would work if you havent touched it for an hour and then it when you started using it , it would work for 30 seconds and stop responding. I had no choice but to attach my old corded mouse. I thought maybe it conflicted with my computer. But I get the same problem when I hook it up with my laptop and a friend's PC. In short this product is a waste of time. Normally I do bash Microsoft software products but thanks to Microsoft hardware products, they fuel themselves for more bashing.
